Learn how to change radio range when you need more than 1000'

Changing radio range

To access the menu settings, center press the joystick (keeping the joystick center and push into it). Click right on the joystick to scroll to the range screen. Click down with the joystick to change to the next higher level.

Senders ship with the range set at normal.  Menu changes go into effect immediately when the option is shown on the screen.

Range levels:

Normal:   1000' line of sight, transmits 4x/sec

+ Long:   1400' line of sight (or 1000' through 16 houses), transmits 3/x sec

++ I wouldn't:    2000' line of sight, transmits 1x every 2sec

+++ I got all day:   4000' line of sight, transmits 1x every 3sec

Important Note: Display unit and sender MUST have the same setting to communicate

For a special need scenario, you can increase the range and click the joystick left to exit.  On restart or power off, the unit will revert to the saved range setting.

To save your range setting, center press the joystick (push down towards the unit).  A confirmation screen will confirm your changes were saved.

Tip: center press can be hard to do with the rubber joystick cap on.  Remove it first by pulling straight up.  Reinstall it by pushing it on after your changes are saved.
